Dont buy *600 pcie series cards expecting >9600xt performance? Sounds dumb I know but I bet half the ppl that have done it expected 9800 + speeds... pcie has lots of b/w available but WTH do you expect with a card made for the lowend market with crap ram?

If you want performance.. right now (8/31/04) you GO AGP.

Or you can buy a high end PCI-e card instead of a budget one....
 
To my knowledge there are none, in any good quantities. Worth a long shot though!
