5970 Sapphire OC Edition problem

Hey guys, i've been having with what i believe is my graphic card problem.

On every start up of the day , the computer would not boot up to bios page, however everything inside the computer is running,fans/leds etc. even on my 5970 fans. Mobo have been replaced,did memtest and found nothing is wrong. only key items that isnt changed is my 5970 and seasonic x750w . I have did a test with my 9800gx2 and everything works well. Take note that there would not be any problem after i reset the computer,everything would work well. I have read several threads regarding this and some people said that it is a timing issue with the power supply. I'd like to know if anyone have any input.

PS: This problem also happens whenever i turned off my computer for more than 20 minutes, after that it would happen. I would need to power the PC(no beep sound), everything running but doesnt get to BIOS, i would then need to restart the computer before everything goes well.
 
If you can use different GPU for some time I would RMA your GPU (based on your test with 9800gx2).
 
Hey rbel thanks for the reply,I've actually got the 5970 to the vendor and requested for rma,however during their test,they found that there was no problem with it,therefor I'm trying my luck at the psu.however I'll be going back tmr and wait for 20 mins with the test and hope that the problem replicates .
 
It doesn't seem likely that the PSU is the cause, but if you have access to another decent PSU you could try, it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.
 
I've just got a brand new 5970 and my system runs well now, it's most probably a faulty 5970 although i dont understand why it did pass the test by the distributor.
