5970 Sapphire OC Edition problem

Hey guys, i've been having with what i believe is my graphic card problem.

On every start up of the day , the computer would not boot up to bios page, however everything inside the computer is running,fans/leds etc. even on my 5970 fans. Mobo have been replaced,did memtest and found nothing is wrong. only key items that isnt changed is my 5970 and seasonic x750w . I have did a test with my 9800gx2 and everything works well. Take note that there would not be any problem after i reset the computer,everything would work well. I have read several threads regarding this and some people said that it is a timing issue with the power supply. I'd like to know if anyone have any input.

PS: This problem also happens whenever i turned off my computer for more than 20 minutes, after that it would happen. I would need to power the PC(no beep sound), everything running but doesnt get to BIOS, i would then need to restart the computer before everything goes well.
 
Sounds like cold boot issues. You wouldn't happen to be running a Gigabyte board, would you? :p In either case, try updating to the latest BIOS and see if it fixes it.

What are your full system specs? The next thing on the list would be to use the "load optimized defaults" setting in your BIOS and see if that changes anything.
 
i checked all 3 his threads doesnt say what motherboard, yup cold boot problem but what is causing it? mobo is my guess since psu is nice but could always test with another psu to much juice used from computer for 750watt?
 
Evga sli le, team xtreem dark 6gb mem,5970 sapphire oc edition,seasonic x750w psu , i7 920. I'm currently running on default for mobo, totally no oc on anything.aside from testing with another graphic card, I actually had tested the system with a seasonic x650w psu and the problem
happens too.
 
I'd say those power supplies are having trouble keeping up, bro.

Doubt it's the PSUs (unless they are both defective). I've run a mildly oc'ed i7 920 with 5970 off a BFG LE550 PSU w/o a single issue. I had like 5 hdds in there, too :D Pretty sure his PSUs provide more juice than my BFG, so it should be no problem.
 
Try eliminating excess current loads (i.e... disconnect everything that's not required for booting the computer). Leave just the motherboard, CPU, RAM, Graphics card and HD connected. Try it for a few days to...see if it makes a difference.
 
Alright just got a new 5970. Did a 30 min interval test and it seems good.gonna go to bed now and see what happens tmr. Hopefully nothing goes wrong within a week.
