i have a 5970 card, do i need to download and use the App Profile ?

Also when I enabled catalyst AI, the games i play goes to poop to put it nicely,So i have to have it disabled.

When playing TF2 with a system i have and at times your lucky enough to hit 40 fps theres something wrong. when i disabled AI then i avg min of 150 fps and most of the time it stays above 200fps, and runs good smooth, not sure whats wrong but it not cool

This is with the 10.9's with the 10.10 I was treated to a fps of 17 to 30's and top off at 75fps no matter what settings i was using in the game or in the CCC panel and yes i uninstall run driver cleaner in safe mode and reboot and disable av and install drivers....

So is something wrong with my card is just TF2 and AMD/Drivers and game does not like each other
 
No, that app I believe is for crossfire, and you have just one card so don't need it. Uninstall that and run Catalyst install manager and direct it to uninstall everything, reboot and install 10.10 drivers and see how it is after.
 
The 5970 IS crossfire so you DO need to install the Application Profiles.
 
Well i pretty sure i found my problem nothing with the card itself ,just need some bios tweaks and so far system is much better....
 
Do make sure you get those crossfire profiles though- you have crossfire on a single card, but its still crossfire.
 
Even when the 5970 is performing correctly there are still scaling issues at Eyefinity resolution, which is why I sold mine while it could still fetch more than 500 on the used market. I can't wait much longer for new tech, my 3rd screen is unusable at the moment.
