Hi All,

Apologies if this issue has been raised and resolved elsewhere on these or other forums, but if it has I have not seen it.

Basic problem is the when I try to use my 3x Dell U2410 (w/ native display port) monitors in Eyefinity mode with my Sapphire 5970 OC card, whichever monitor is hooked up to the display port will only display in black and white! I am using CCC 9.12 plus the hotfix. Also, I am using the Sapphire supplied mini-DP to DP adapter cable. Any ideas?

Other problem is that I cannot turn utilize Crossfire (I have two 5970 cards) and Eyefinity at the same time. I can use either one, but not both at the same time, even though the 9.12 or the hotfix (I forget which one) was specifically supposed to enable this.

Thanks for any thoughts, solutions.

I think the 9.12 drivers sometimes put a particular display output on saturation 0, making the monitor black and white.

If this is your problem, try this fix:

Went into "configure" for the monitor displaying b&w, in CCC. I found that Avivo Color was set to Hue 28, Saturation of 0. Even hitting reset does nothing. Checking the monitors that are displaying color ok revealed that Hue should be 0, Saturation 100, by default.

This fixed the same issue I was having. There are two places saturation is set, which is confusing.

Open up the Desktops and Displays menu in the Catalyst Control Center.
Right click on the monitor's small icon in the lower part of this screen, select Configure Go to the Avivo color settings.
Adjust Saturation up to 100.

Many thanks Balthazor that saturation setting was exactly the issue, and your suggestion fixed it. Whew! Has been irritating me for weeks that one third of my eyefinity setup was B&W!

With that stage of the quest behind me, I am now gathering the courage to install CCC 10.1 and see if I can finally get Crossfire and Eyefinity to work at the same time... Stay tuned (or render any suggestions if you have them.)
