Well, siting a great sale at NCIX, I've managed to throw together a boxen for GPU folding at a great price of $597 Canadian.. (GPU folding on the X1950pro) The only thing thats been really sacrificed is the memory (512MB @ 533MHz DDR2), so I will be stripping this thing's services, skins, etc. down like mad so its practically running in safe mode with networking. Also, you'll notice it doesnt have an opitcal drive, as it wont be needing one for folding..

I will be using it as a TV-attached media-streamer on-top of its folding duties, so it will basically stream content from my network onto my TV.. fun fun..

I'm more interested in the science/computing power than the ppd.. so I think this build offers the most performance-per-dollar for the project. :)

Here's my parts list/prices:

What do you all think?

You will have to use the PCI-E power adapter supplied with the Video card beacuse there is no PCI-E power plug on that supply but you should be good to go.
