Anyone know what the max core temp for a 5900nu is? There's a warning option in the drivers which defaults to 140C (!?!), but I'm wondering if it clocks itself down at a lower temp.
I'm having an odd problem w/ Far Cry where the game will basically stop (<<<1fps) and RivaTuner tells me my core clock has dropped down to 300MHz (desktop speed). Sometimes it just drops down and keeps going minus a few fps, but usually I get the "hang". If I ctrl-alt-del out of the game then switch back it goes back to normal for a while. This doesn't happen in any of my other games.
I'm trying to figure out what the heck is going on. I was playing it for hours last night w/o any trouble but today it's been having a lot of these freezes. I did make some changes to the display settings though, so I'm trying to figure out if my card is overheating or the game is just bugged. The highest I've seen it is 78C. The slot next the the card is full & staying that way (I'll go back to my Parhelia before I ditch my Fibre Channel...), so my ventillation isn't that good.
