I did some searching here on [H]ardOCP, and was not able to find a post or article regarding this card, and if anyone had any experience with it.

I saw the one article asking why the 5970 was not dubbed "5870x2", but that's because the 5870x2 exists :)

I wanted to check for information here first, before I floated over to other sites.
 
No one has experience with it because it's ridiculously over-priced.
Not to mention it's a custom ASUS card, so you're relying on them for drivers. Quite possibly the worst possible video card I've seen in my life. It's a shame some people will make the mistake of buying it.

Even if I had infinite dollars, I wouldn't buy it.
 
Interesting perspective.

It would seem to me that 4GB would be prime, but I realize this is just the result of dual 2GB cards.

I do see that there are 2GB 5870's available, so I guess that was what I was missing, and it appears that two cards do come cheaper that this single card.

That sums it up for me then. Thank you. :)
