I want to be able to run multiple monitors (hopefully six U2711) without having to built a desktop. (I haven't touched a desktop for the past 4 years and never built one in my life.). Right now I am running 2 external monitors (2560x1440 and 1920x1200) without external graphics card.
I am thinking about doing this with my thinkpad x200t (due core SL9600, x4500, 4gb ram) and 5870 eyefinity.
My question is what brand of eyefinity should I get? do you think my laptop will be powerful enough to run six monitors with help of the 5870?
I have ask around on the notebookreview forum, however they are more interested in doing the external GPU for the purpose of gaming than running multiple monitors.
