5870 Dirt 2 performace low?

First, my specs:

Intel i7 920 (Currently at stock, I plan to OC though)
Asus P6T SE
6gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3
XFX HD 5870

I'm getting between 20 - 60fps maxed at 1680x1050. This doesn't seem right when in the [H] review here: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2009/12/23/dirt_2_gameplay_performance_image_quality/6 the 5770 does better.

Firstly, how can I check it's running in DX11 mode? Secondly, it seems to be setting "Postprocessing" to ultra which breaks it.

Hows everyone else finding Dirt2 performance with a 5870?

which drivers are you using? it should automatically enable dx11 if theres a dx11 card installed..

Yea mine runs fine. Win7 ult x64 with cat 9.12 hotfix. Run everything maxed at 19x12 w/ 4xaa and don't think it ever goes below 40fps and its usually around 60fps I believe on stock clocks.
