Anyone know if they will release a 5850 version of vapor x? I would love to have those coolers and a possibly smaller pcb since its not a reference design.
 
Unlikely. Since the premium would put it at or above 5870 territory, there isn't a huge market for it.
 
It would still be $60 less than the 5870, I noticed that there are Vapor-X versions of the 5750,5770 and 5870 - I would think they would have announced a 5750 by now though. Unless they are raping the PCB again like they did on the 5870.
 
they will most likely release it when the chips start showing up now that yields have improved.. at this point its not worth the cost premium for them to release the card since no one will really buy it but as the prices drop back toward MSRP prices then you will most likely see it..
