Currently have a 5850, and thinking about a ASUS 560Ti CUII.
Would it be worth it?
rest of system
i7 950
Asus Formula 3
6gb ddr3 1600
earth watts 650

Id the 560ti a good upgrade from the 5850? Or should I try to get a 570?

I upgraded to the Galaxy 480 GTX SOC on tigerdirect. $239 or so after rebates. Check out the hot deals. They seem to be in stock. Might be a delay in their shipping though.

why you looking to upgrade?

what resolution do you run your games in ?

I would look around for a GTX 470, or GTX 480 you can find them for dirt cheap, but to answer your question the 560ti would be a nice upgrade to your 5850 =P

560 ti oc s like a mother though. Dang near 570 speeds. Still, 6950 2gb for $235 or the 480 gtx soc I got are the best sub $250 cards.

570's are overpriced compared to the 6950 2GB. Why pay $330 when you can get a 6950 2gb for $240 and unlock it?

even if he oced the crap out of it to 570 speeds it would only be about 25-30% faster than a stock completely 5850. might as well oc the 5850...

I am having the same dilemma. Currently have a 5850. Thinking of going to a 6950 which I think you can flash to a 6970. Just built a new SB system so the 5850 is the oldest thing I have.
I play almost any type of games on my PC.
Just 1 monitor now. May go to 2.
Typically play at 1920x1080

Same here though i have a 5870. close to saying screw it and getting two 6950s for CFX.

6950 2gb hands down. Unlock it and you're solid. Then again a 6970 will give you more performance. But price wise, 6950 2gb.

I just changed from a 5850 to a 560ti. The 6950 1gb is a slightly better card then the 560, but I wanted a card to match my red theme so I went with the 560ti. Both the 6950 and the 560 are better then the 5850 and really the only thing needed to max about any game at 1080P or less.

I sold my 5850 for $140 local, and got the 560 for $195 after a $10 rebate.
