Hi all,
Im planning to upgrade my 5850 to the new 580 gtx and wondering if my current rig can actually support it in terms of comp speed and power.
My current rig:

Q6600@3.02
8gb ddr2
Antec HE550 psu
Rampage x48
Intel x25 80gb hdd

What resolution are you playing at and what games aren't giving you satisfying performance? The reason I ask is a Q6600 @ 3.02GHz can already bottleneck a 5850, never mind a GTX 580. I also agree that you'll need a new PSU if you're going for the GTX 580.
