5850 idle temps increase at random

Was browsing the web last night and noticed the fan was ramping up a bit and temps were around 41-43 for a bit then the go back to the normal 35-38 idle.

I am running afterburner (not overclocking just using custom fan profile) gpu usage was spiking up and down. Does internet explorer use the gpu at all? Not sure what could be using the gpu.
