5850 CFX/Eyefinity issues

Guys - long time lurker first time poster.

I'm hoping you dudes can provide some insight. I am running an i7930 w 6gb ram, and 5850's Crossfire.

Yesterday I made the leap to Eyefinity after seeing the awesome and thorough video review on here. I'm running something like 6068x1080 with bezel compensation and some games look and run amazingly well, HAWX, all Source games look and run great.

Some games run like complete ass, like Bad Company 2 and Just Cause 2. When I disable Crossfire, the performance is identical. I realize I'm trying to pump out some huge resolutions but I'd think it would at least increase a little with Crossfire.

For efficiency's sake I'm thinking about selling my dual 5850's and replacing them with dual 6850's and reformatting. I've tried everything else - driver sweeper (using 10.12 now with updated App Profiles). Any idea why Crossfire isn't working sometimes? Would this upgrade be a decent idea since it would only cost me around 75 bucks
