I have a 5830 incoming from the egg. It's for mining, but I'm wondering if for everyday/gaming use I should leave it seperate, or go ahead and crossfire the 2 cards. Anyone have any experience doing this?

For mining not crossfiring is generally easier to manage.

Im just wondering, though, if it's worth it for me to link them for gaming. Not that my 5850 struggles, but of course I like to make the most out of my hardware.

You can crossfire them if you want. It can be done, its just a little harder to manage. I also found mining to be slightly less stable when in crossfire mode.
