How much faster slower or the same is the 6850 to the 5770? I want to replace my Dad's aging 9800GT with one of the above. It would be used on a 1920x1200 monitor.....I want it to play the latest games at a reasonable level of graphics...

6870 if you can at that resolution if you want to tuen the effects up.
Dont even bother with the 5700 series, there barely faster if not slower in some cases than a 4800 series card.
