Hey everyone, I am having a heck of a time with an XFX 5770 in a P45 based platform. Here are the specs of my system:

CPU - E5200 @ stock
Motherboard - P5Q Pro Turbo /w BIOS 0602 (newest)
PSU - Corsair TX750W
Memory - G.Skill PC1000 4GB
OS - Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Video Card - XFX HD5700 1GB (original release card)

Here is the info in my ticket to XFX:

" Hello there, I am having major issues with this 5770 running on this P45 based platform. When I am running Windows 7 64-bit I gets constant display driver faults every 20-45 seconds making the system useless. This is on a brand new perfectly clean installation of Windows 7. I have tried running Cat`s 10.3 /w and /wo CCC and it is the same. The exact error is Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered. This is Event ID 4101. The board is running BIOS version 0602 (newest) and before the card has drivers installed it works perfectly fine i.e. no crashes or artifacts on the screen. I am going to test it in and use other cards in this system for later testing, when this is complete I will update the ticket. If you have anything to aid me with this please let me know, my frustration levels could not be any higher. Trevor"

I have tossed this card in my Core i7 build since I wrote the ticket and have not experienced any issues. Any help on why the display driver keeps crashing would be much appreciated. This specific computer is my entertainment when I am up north since there is not a lot to do in small remote areas.
