Well I have issues some times with this happening. The screen will go brown vertical strips. It happens mostly when I play a graphics intensive game. Latest has been wow ultra settings.
Well I found out how to stop it but doing so disables my HMDI Audio, because the HDMI audio driver for ATI causes it...... and I connect via HMDI... Any way around this?
I want my sound....
 
Well shoot. I guess the 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male will be used again...
 
Well still have the issue,a nd I cannot hook my 3.5mm to it for sound. Tv wont let me.

So does the newest driver fix this?
 
Here are some links I've found researching the same issue I've been having with the "brown screen/ gray screen of death" issue with my card.

I'm also running alternate drivers and down clocked my GPU by 50 MHz, seemed to have helped.
I'm running an HDMI cable to my LCD, but sound is on a USB card in my case. HDMI sound disabled.

I owned a XFX HD 5770 and it sucked. What worked for me was lowering the memory speed to 1000 and that solved the weird graphics issues and crashes.
