Which is the better card? Ive noticed the speeds on the 5700u are 475/900 and the 5900nu is around 400/800. They both can be had for about the same price. ATI is out b/c ive been racking my brain trying to get the 9600xt to work properly on my system. Right now I have a gf3 that runs with no problems, when I had the 9600xt with freshh install of board drivers and ati drivers and completely removing old drivers using utilities, it look like junk even with all my settings set to stock, in 3dmark high detail car chase drops to 3fps and playing games like R6.
the system.

Epox 8rda+ w newest BIOs and newest nforce drivers
RAM xms3200LL 2 sticks 256 running now at 2-2-2-5
Thermaltake 420w power supply
AMD XP1800@2.0 GHZ
Water cooled.

I'd get the 5900NU. It's pretty common for them to be flashed to a 5950, or just overclocked to 5950 speeds. Mine overclocked to the 5950 speeds right out of the box. I'm sure it will overclock more, but I haven't had the time to play with it.
