hey guys i have $200 and i wanna buy a nice nVidia video card.. whats the diff. between new 5900xt's and regular 5900's? Is the 5900xt better than the regular 5700's?

Can somebody link me to a nice 5900XT review comparing all FX cards..

many thanks.

9800 Pro for 200 smacks is the best deal around..

and ofcourse 5900 is better than 5700

Why not get 5900NU, a 9700 pro, or a 9800 pro? All of those are around $200. The 9800 pro is the most expensive of these and goes for about $215

nvidia is the only option i have... so how's the new 5900XT card? they any better than regular 5900's (NU's) ?

thanks

No. Worse, slightly.

I just ordered the MSI FX5900XT from newegg today. $185 not a bad price for that card. Plus every review I have read on it says it overclocks real well.

I was looking at 5700U cards and decided to go with the 5900XT after reading some reviews on both cards. For the same price or close to it the 5900 is just a lot better.

The 5700 is pretty crippled from an architectural standpoint against the 5900. The 5900XT is just a downclocked a 5900NU.

I just want something better than TI-4200 128MB, so i guess 5900XT won't let me down :) I don't care about the DX9 support or the Overclocking.. I'm just after nVidia's Open GL performance which is far better than any ATI card on the market. MSI FX 5900XT sells for $270 CDN here.
