how do you get the gift card? also the win 7 professional model is $45 more base, but has a $150 rebate so it actually comes out to $5 cheaper.

EDIT: thanks OP, and just realized the win 7 pro version does NOT get the gift card, so that one is NOT a deal. get home premium.

I've never really looked into one, but the specs look VERY similar to an MBA.

The only negative thing I have heard about this laptop is that it has a loud fan and it's on often.

The one good thing is that it has a 6Gbit/s mSATA slot that can host a bootable SSD.

Apparently the fan kicks in often but it's not excessively loud, just on too damn much. The temperatures are actually supposed to be really cool, particularly for an ultrabook, even with the fan off so it'll probably get fixed with a BIOS/driver update.
