Here we go.
I'm running the Asus P5AD2E Premium with a 560J. I loaded it down with 2 instances of Prime and noticed a good bit of throttling on throttlewatch. Max temp I saw was 65C. I do not want it to throttle, however I realize it is for CPU protection. I have found that this CPU is Prime stable at 1.3 volts instead of 1.4. I went into the bios, disabled all thermal throttling and lowered vcore to 1.3... I am now running 2 instances of prime and reaching a max cpu temp of 58C. My question is how dangerous do you think it is to run without throttling enabled? With the lower voltage, things seem to be working much better.
Thanks,
Chris
