560 vs 660 heat production question

Well 660 would run a little cooler and its 64bit aswell :) at the beginning of the year i decided to build this rig and i search through a number of forum and peopple said that prescott run really hot but that was a load of BS, april this year i built my rig with a 640, and the temp is pretty low to be honest, its run at 37-40 Degrees idle and 50-55 on load, and this is with a stock cooler aswell so yeah :D.

well i have watercooling so it doesnt matter that much. The 64bit is entising. Didnt the 600 series have some sort of thing that turned off transistors when not in use to save power and produce less heat?
