5200 vs FX-62

I currently have a 5200, a friend is getting rid of his FX-62, which is like new. But would i see any difference with the fx chip?

That looks like only a small speed gain.

BTW, I hate to spoil it for your friend, but you do know that FX-62 (OEM + 2 games) is currently on sale at tigerdirect.com for $169.
 
Who cares about stock. Find out what each overclocks to max. I doubt the difference is enough to matter though unless your chip is weak. Probably not more than a 300mhz difference which you would only feel in benchmarks.
 
I decided to not bother, I could probally reach 2.8GHz with my 5200, but any higher is a no go. thanks for the info.
 
lol, well for the about 5hrs, and thought it was stable, then it just up and restarted. Not sure what else to try to get it stable. Thanks for reminding me
 
yeah, i don't think there ever was a 5200 that wasn't an X2? either way this one is an X2
