518 Sensitivty Problem

My sensitivity on my 518 seems to change on it's own. I have to reboot to get it back. I don't use the bindings for the dpi increasement, and in the software drivers, I changed the dpi to 800. Anytime I go into the mouse control panel, even if I don't change anything, the sensitivity changes again. Once again I'm about to go back to Razer. I've been back and forth between these 2 companies, nobody seems to make a mouse that freaking works. Days like today I miss the simplicity of my old Intelli 3.0....
 
I thought the sensitivity was controlled in the mouse. I've never bothered to install the Logitech software, I just use the sensitivity buttons on the mouse and have never had any problems.

One of the best mice ever IMO.
 
was just looking at the razer mamba...that has to be the killer nic of computer mice...it does come with a pretty dispaly case :) If this mouse crapped out I'd prolly throw my cash out the window and buy it.
 
Call Logitech, tell them what's up. Provided it's still covered under warranty, they'll probably send you a brand new replacement, free of charge.

You're over generalizing. The Logitech MX-518 is a proven mouse that works fine. You've just got a bad one or you're having a driver issue or something. I've had my 518 for 3 years (maybe even longer) and it's still working as good as the day I got it. 2400+ reviews on newegg, 5 star rating.
 
The 518 is a good mouse tbo uninstall setpoint itll fix your prob.
 
I have the same issue with my G5, I bought it used so I'm not sure what logitech can do about it.
