512mb to 1024 (dual channel?)

so i just bought this ram:

and i had 512, so now i've raised it to 1 gig.

my question is, how do i know if my comp is running the memory in dual channel? (specs in sig)

the ram slots look like this: | | |
and now they are: x x|


so do i have the ram positioned correctly? how do i know if it's in dual channel or not? is there something that needs to be configured in bios?

i'm pretty sure this mobo support dual channel, just wanna make sure it's operating that way.

run memtest, it should identify it running in dual channel. If not the memory should probably be in slots 1 and 3.

memtest 86? could you provide a direct link please because i went to that site, and it seems like all it is is a dos program..thanks!

that is the right site. Just dl the prog and put it on a floppy, boot with the disk and it should start running. It is simple.
