51*C Okay?

Thats a fairly safe temp. Most people will say anything over 50 under heavy load is pushing it but 51 should be fine. Nice OC on that cpu btw :D Can't get my 2600 past 2.2 even running at 45 under load.

really? my 2600 runs at 2.3 on air and loves it. even with a shitty hsf i could get above 2.2

and yeah, 51 is fine. personally i try stay below 50 but i know people that run above 70 24/7 with no problems

Really? What are your settings? I've tried every different combination possible but when I get just a little over 2.2 my 3d Mark 03 scores start to drop significantly.

im at 11.5x200. 1.85vcore. is your board the original nf7 or rev 2?

the thing that was holding me back was my ram timings. i couldn't get a descent overclock till i changed my timings to 2.5 - 3 - 3 - 10, which seems to be the best for this board

under 50*c has allways been the rule, but you should be fine by bending it by one degree

arne't most CPU rated to fry at about 90C???

i think anything below 70 is good, but i always try and stay below 60.. maybe i should reconsider that???

heh....my 2600+ right now is on a volcano 6/7 that was made for a amd 1ghz cpu. temps idle at 2200mhz at 1.5v is 58c....(with no thermal grease) and thats the only fan in the system plus the 80mm in the psu.

My board is rev 2. I'll have to try adding more power. I stopped at 1.75 volts I thought it was getting to high.
