any takers? seems a bit sketch to me but they have a real address and whatnot... prices on other items seem normal so maybe this is just a mistake..? tried to convince boss to let me order one with company card but no dice.. yet

[pendragon1]

seems too good. maybe they are flipping auction stuff?

Remember Seagate had high failure rates with their 3TB 3.5 inch drives.

I had high failure rates (over 50% in 2 years on 16 drives) on their 1TB and 3TB barracuda drives. Never again, fuckers.

Yep, to the 'high failure rate'.

For the same price, get the Toshiba/HGST drives - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA5AD3BN9042
I've owned 3-4 of the 3TB model and now have one of the 4TB's... no scream queens, but all rock solid

Ya, it's terrible to pay $50 to have seagate delete 3tb of your data. You can just do it yourself.

I have several of those, they are loud but stable.
