I upgraded my case and while watching hardware monitor I noticed that it reports my +5 as being at 3.24, why would this be? It is an OCZ fatality 550 power supply with the following components
- 1 7200rpm hard drive
- 2 180mm AP fans
- 1 6870
- cpu cooler is a hyper 212+
- cpu is a 955BE

Never ever trust software voltage readings. They only way to get an accurate reading is to use a DMM.

Whew (maybe?), thank you for the quick response, was starting to think I screwed something up somehow moving everything into the new case.

Tsumi is right, software are not always correct, as a Multimiter is the best way to check your voltages. Have you checked your bios, most of the new setups have monitors build in the bios, if your dont have, try different monitors, HWinfo32 in my experience has better database of the sensors.

mmm, it's probablly either reading the wrong rail or using the wrong scale factor.

No. There's a 5v standby, and there's an actual 5v line during operation.
