5 Disk Raid 6 on 9260-8i slow read?

I just finally got my 9260-8i set up with 5 Samsung 2TB HD204UI drives in Raid 6. My writes seem decent at 319mb/s, but I'm only getting 148.9mb/s read. This is like single disk performance! I expected to be getting significantly more.

IS this normal or is there something wrong with my controller or settings?

I would expect sequential reads of around 300 MB/s.

If your using a benchmark and the file size is set too small then it may not actually be spanning any disks and so yes, you'll get single disk performance.

Take a 2GB file and move it on and off the array, see what your performance is then.

I'll try that, but the numbers were with Crystal Disk Mark with 1000mb file size.
