I, personally can't use a 3 button mouse anymore... if it's not 5 button I go crazy while I'm surfing the net searching for the mouse back and foreward buttons... lol.

What do you prefer?

I can't stand 3 button mouses either. I have a Logitech MX 700, it has 8 buttons and I use every one of them.

I stole 2 A4tech mice from my high school over a year ago and they're great. 2 scroll wheel and 5 button. I recently bought 2 more from newegg just in case i break mine.

I concur with you, Cleanslate. It's hard for me to use anything BUT an Intellimouse Optical. I absolutely get frustrated using a wheelmouse and it's just plain annoying to use an MX700.

I still don't understand how people manage using such a low grade product as a wheel mouse.

I cant stand usung aything other then my Logitech MX500 mouse:)

Well except an MX 700/900 blah blah..

i love my MS explorer 3.0

although the MX515 (i think, that red one) may take my heart soon

i prefer at least 5
but my mx510 has 8 all of which i can program to work the way Id like :)

I like the 5 button, but hardly notice a difference unless I'm surfing the net (like at work w/a 3 button mouse).

What I notice though is a lot of mice are right-hand bias.

LEFTIES UNITE!

I want my old comport MS 3 Button mouse (no scroll) from 1992!

That is cruel and unusual. Maybe your superego has crumbled...

I use an MX700 and am having loads of fun with it.

for web browsing i can go by with 3 buttons
but for gaming, i MUST have 5 buttons!!!

One button. Learn to use the keyboard, you hippy!

But to each his own.

lmao

I have a scroll wheel on my keyboard. It's pretty useless. I can't set it up for side scrolling, what's the point?

Why even TRY setting it up for side scrolling when you can just have scrollwheel on your mouse?

That's your own problem, I suppose.

I scroll with the keyboard, as it is much faster and more precise.

I set my mouse scroll wheel to 5 lines a thingy. Must faster scrolling. I could care less about accuracy. ;)

I'm using a microsoft mouse with a ball, two buttons, and a scroll wheel. Optical doesn't seem to like my mousepad, and I don't really care about extra buttons. A second wheel would be killer though. :D
