I'm doing some reading now but just wondering if anyone knows an easy way to get 5.1 with a DivX file? Dr DivX said it supported AC3 feeds but the audio is mp3 (stereo). I'm reading about AutoGK now.

I don't mind paying for a program if it can do it with ease (click, click - go)

I had posted this in the HT forum but got few replies. Thought I'd move it here for more thoughts

as already mentioned, Gordian Knot can do everything you want. just make sure that you select to mux the ac3, and set up the ac3filter in control panel to output 5.1 or s/pdif. Play around with it for a while, and you'll figure it out.

There are a series of programs that can help you (freeware I might add) get an AC3 file out of whatever you are ripping.

doom9.org usually has most of them.

Gordian Knot is sloppy IMO, and not all that great with encoding.
