5.1 speakers/headset switch box?

I've got an X-Fi, with 5.1 Klipsch's that I have to turn way down when my son goes to sleep and would love to use my 5.1 headphones but crawling underneath my desk and doing the cable shuffle is a bit much (as well as wear and tear on plug and jacks). Does anyone make a 5.1 switchbox for analog inputs, or worst case scenario how much interference/degradation would be to use stereo splitter plugs?

Wishing I got the breakout box or front panel for my X-Fi now.

Get a receiver, the breakout box is a waste. Or try 3 of these I suppose. There should not be much sound loss.

i used these for the very reason mentioned above. There is no sound loss, i don't have to crawl behind the machine, I salvage my x-fi analog plugs and constantly break in the cans.
