I have the logitech x-530 speakers and i had all the speakers in front of me on my desk for the longest time and i finally got around to putting them behind me and for some reason i cant hear anything out of them, is like the front ones are over powering the rear ones so i dont hear nothing coming from them, is there somewhere i can configure it or something so the rear one play louder or something?

Are you using sources that are mixed for 5.1?

Note most music is only stereo. This means unless you have some software doing some DSP on it or just have it setup to send sound to all speakers then only the front 2 will play music.

If your using Vista and the source isn't 5.1 you'll only get 2.1

You need to enable fill sound in Vista for this to work properly.

First off, im using XP and i do have music coming out of the rear speakers but the front ones are a lot louder it seems so i cant really anything from behind me.

If the music is just stereo why would you want sound out of the rear speakers? Just because you have them does not mean they should be used.

However if you really want the sound out of the rear and want more volume then you need to look into the mixer and/or software settings for your soundcard.
