4x PCI-e 2.0 16x?!

dual 4870X2's quad 4870's probably wouldn't fit for one and secondly that would kill your airflow.

Did you look at board layout? The Orange/Black PCIe slots are so close to each other, that it's only possible to run single card solutions, if you want all 4 slots. Unless you put things like 4x4850, but spaces between them will be that small, that you can't run any after market cooling, and there will be too much heat generated by them

Judging from the picture, it won't even be able to do tri-sli IMO

Ah yeah, duly noted. Looks like I'll stick with my original decision of the ASUS P6T Deluxe/OC Palm and 2x 4870 x2's.

That's too bad about the poor layout of the board. Never seen full 16x over four PCI-e's.

Unless it has an extra Chip it can't do 4x 16x slots there aren't enough PCIe lines available. It's probably 2x16 + 2x1, 1x16 + 2x8 + 1x1, 4x8, etc. At best one of the slots might degrate into 4x instead of 1x mode.

TriSLI/Quad xFire would be doable with single slot water cooling options.

It's four 16x physical slots, but they don't actually have 16 lanes per slot.
