So I set up a small freenas storage system to experiment with the system and i'm really happy with it. My questions are as follows.

My main computer case has a 4U bay (the case is a Caselabs TX10D). I would love to utilize the bay I have, but I don't know anything about rackmount hardware.

I'm looking at something like this:
http://www.rackmountnet.com/chenbro...nder-backplane-1045w-power-supply-p-4418.html

It's my understanding that EEB motherboards were based off the ATX standard, and that I should be able to run a standard ATX mobo in a case like the one i linked. Would I have power connection issues with the units mobo?

Also, looking over the freenas documentation, i believe that a unit such as the one I referenced would be capable of supporting 6 volumes of 6-8 drives in raidz2, assuming I were to use 2 24 port expanders.

Does this sound feasible?
