4TB Deskstar 7200 RPM Drive vs 3TB Deskstar 7200 RPM Drive

Hey guys,

I would like to buy either the "4TB Hitachi Deskstar 7200 RPM Drive" or the "3TB Hitachi Deskstar 7200 RPM Drive".

Is there any other difference between these two drives beside the 1tb difference in size?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

assuming both are from the 7k4000 family, the only difference is the # of platters.

5 for the 4TB and 4 for the 3TB most likely.

Well... the 5K3000 drives are OOS everywhere...
