I was wondering if anyone knew about converting a 4pin fan to 3pin so I could use it with a sunbeam rheobus. Will that screw up the sunbeam?

As long as you go from 12V to 12V w/ the conversion, should be NP. W/ the 4 pin to 3 pin it's usually from red on the 3pin to yellow on the 4 (12V on the 4 pin molex). The rheostat simply acts as a dimmer switch on the 12V line....lowering the current supplied to the fan. Be aware that some fans won't work @ lower voltages. The Delta 60mm "screamers" won't fire up under ~9.5V and, in truth, shouldn't be ran under 10V. They also make a whining noise when undervolted too much and will eventually burn up. ;)
