4K small text help

So, I have a 4K 27" lcd Dell monitor. I have been able to change most everything to a larger font.

Is there like a master switch that will just make everything a ...bit bigger? I admit, I am getting old and sometimes
it displays text that is impossible for me to read without my readers.

What are the steps that some people use to make everything they can bigger?

Yeah, kind of. I messed with that, and text size and stuff. It is good browsing and my desktop icons are good.

But maybe system popups? or something that the text was pretty small. Maybe I am looking for a process that you do on a 4K to do everything possible to make the text
big enough.

when I tried windows display scaling weird shit happened. Like some games scaled up as well incorrectly and were off of the screen.

I also want to find a solution because I can't see some of the smaller shit.

Set Windows display settings to 125% or 150% and you should be good. Most apps will work fine (be sure to logout or restart your computer after doing it).

If there are games that don't work correct, you'll have to disable scaling for the exe. Right click the game exe and go to compatibility settings and use application scaling.

Some programs won't scale correctly. Older version of Photoshop are known for this behavior.
There are guides out there (Google search something like: High DPI scaling fix for Photoshop)
These guides have a work-around (which include some tweaking of Windows using regedit)
Worked for me.

I've been using 150% for a few years. More and more things have scaled over the years. Almost everything does now except programs that were not written with native Windows developer tools. Steam is one that comes to mind. With Lightroom, I remember having to set it in the program options years ago but maybe that has been panned out now.
