4950-->70 vs 560 ti

whats better, a 4950 biosed to a 4970 for 220 bucks...or 560 ti 1gb for 175 bucks?

I think you mean 6950. where can you get a 560 for 175 bucks?

at that price a 560 would be the better buy.
 
I guess there is a deal on tigerdirect right now for a 560 for just over $200. There is a thread on it at slickdeals, I guess there are a couple other ways to lower it down to $175. I guess someone just posted that deal on [H] as well.

I'm in the same boat as the op and think I'm going to spend the extra and get the 6950. The deal now is $220 for the 1gb and $245 for the 2gb. I'll go with the 2gb so I can unlock it to a 6970.
