So just wondering, does any one have the problem where when you start your computer, the graphics card fan goes crazy and it super vibrates. Then after like a few minutes, it goes back to normal?

My card has been doing that 2 months after I got it and now it just died ...

time to warranty -_-

the fan should go to 100% when the system boots then drop to its idle speed after that..

no no 100% sounds regular when i blast it in windows......

this sound is like a mini vacuum. but it goes away after 2-3 minutes of my computer being on. So i just took it out cleaned it and put it back in... no crashes yet, hopefully haha

It's normal for AMD cards to spin up pretty high during POST and whatnot. My 5870 does it too. Although my previous GTX295 didn't. It's an AMD thing. The fan only drops down once you hit the Windows desktop/login screen since then the drivers fan control kicks in.

My XFX 4890 has the same problem. Its a bad fan and I need to get it RMAd
