I have the chance to get a 4890 from a local BB for 175. Going through BB because its local and im too impatient to wait for shipping. Im currently running a 4830 by itself. Wondering if a 4890 would be that big of a upgrade for my resolution. I play crysis, fallout 3, a little WoW, and I'm going to grab Farcry and MW sometime.

I will be overclocking the card when I get it, recommendations for tools or a guide? I can search for this though on my own.

If i crossfire the 4890 and my 4830 will the share load or will the 4890 be downclocked?

Computer is used for gaming, MediaCenter and Movie playback.

If the rest of the specs matter:
25.5" Westinghouse @ 1920X1200
e5200 @ 3.8 inside a DH101 Case
4G Ram
640/500G WD HDD

You'll see a huge increase in performance. Either keep the HD 4830 as backup or sell it.

A 4890 is perfectly adequate for that resolution on a single monitor.
Sell the 4830. It would just slow down the 4890 to be honest.
