Should I bother to look at anything else or you think its the card

1) Playing Mass effect
2) PC shut off
3) Smell burning electronics
4) PC boots and appears to make it into windows and past post, but no video.
5) Fan stuck at 100%

99% sure it's card tho.

Card or the PSU. More likely the card. I take it you don't have access to another machine to test it in?

Tis a newish PSU, when i smelled i took a whiff behind the PSU immediately as ive blown a few before. It was fine, ive had this PSU for maybe 2 months.

possibly, but you might be getting a beep pattern at post, or led diagnostic code if vid card was bad. do you have another card to test with (or another system to put the 4890 in), or did you try booting into safe mode, or are you not even getting bios video?

I do have access to another PSU. but no videocards.

I just booted it without the videocard in it, it made it into windows, it paused and took my password to let it into windows and such. I cant really do much since i cant see anything but it is up and appears to be working. Its sitting there doing some HD grinding.

My sig is incorrect, this is an intel motherboard.

DP45SG Motherboard

Been trying its windows 7, RDP is disabled, trying to do it blind but not having any luck. Cant get into remote registry either. Damn them actually securing this stuff ._.
