4870x2 vs 2x 4870 (Crossfire)?

I know there are some preliminary 4870x2's out there, so is there a definitive answer on how much the x2 outperforms a crossfire setup?

I'm currently installing the crossfire setup on the new rig below, which supports full crossfire (x48 board). I wanted to see your thoughts on what would be the wiser choice at 1920x1200.
