When I first got my X2 (same exact setup, same bedroom, same ambients) my idle temps (with fan set manually to 45%) were high 30's low 40's. During game playing would get up to 70's at most.

Now same setup, nothing in my case has changed, and my idle's are in the high 50's with the fan set to 50%, and I can't get the goddamn thing to stop going to 100% when I play almost any game. (temps go above 90c)

Anyone else have this problem with their X2? Just curious if I should be looking for something or if it needs to be RMA'd.
 
Anything? Nothing? Someone tell me my temps are crazy, or that they have the same temps, or that they found some reason why the temps rose :).

Yeah I was going to try that, I was also considering ripping the HS off to apply some better thermal paste but it seems that is unpopular with this card.
 
Canned air, clear out the fins on the heat sink.

Never know what you will find, especially if you have a cat... My brother in laws case once was so bad with cat hair that we were surprised that it didn't catch fire :D
