I just started to notice this.. seems to be easier to see in darker areas or before a map loads. There is a ripple wave effect I can see. Anyone else getting this?

i've kinda noticed this also, hard to explain and there's no way to catch it in a ss... I also hate when you get flashed you get black bars moving up and down really fast. I'm using 8.526 off the cd. Best drivers for me 8.54 were good with cod4 but it messed up vantage

yeah, I also noticed the black bars when getting flashed in COD4. The ripple effect I don't think it can be caught in a screen shot.

ripple effect I'm guessing is tearing...that's what you see when vsync is off. some people notice tearing and some people don't. I notice tearing therefore I always use vsync.

I know what tearing is from vsync. This is nothing like that. Its almost like I have a bad cable that is picking up something. But as another forum user stated if you set it to Box 16XAA it goes away. Its the only thing I noticed that will make any difference. My buddies 4850 crossfire setup does the same thing.

Ya I get teh black boxes in COD4 when shooting. Like the flashes and stuff. I do run w/ vsync off tho, and when I noticed it i was sitting on my bed while my friend played at my desk w/ 16xaa and 16xaf :D Surprisingly it ran pretty smooth and only dipped into the low 30's a few times.
