like wtf already 2gb previews, 1gb version isn't even out yet im getting so impatient myGeforce 8600 sucks too much especially at 2560x1600
August is gonna be an expensive month for me: 30" LCD + 4870x2 + X-Fi Titanium = lots and lots of Ramen noodles for lunch & dinner![]()
I'm leaning towards the Gateway XHD3000 or Samsung 305T. I'll be using it as a TV, as well. The Gateway has lots of direct inputs, Samsung only has DVI-D so I'd need a tuner card for TV. It'll come down to the best price at the time I'm ready to buy. Which 30" are you looking at?I'm looking around for a 30" LCD. What are you going to get if I may ask? Thanks!

The same ones and the Dell 3008 but I here the scaler causes lag. What are your thoughts?
Not sure which set you're talking about but it may be possible to disable the scaler for certain inputs. It may be disabled by default depending upon the signal its receiving. The scaler is usually used for converting the lower quality signals so they don't look like crap on a high res display.
The Gateway's scalar can be bypassed when running the full 2560x1600 resolution. I don't know if the 3008 has that capability. I think the 3008 is way too overpriced. The Dell 3008 was the one I was talking about in reference to the lag problem.

No the image quality is perfect for me. I run xbox 360 at 1080p, ps3 1080p hdmi and wii 480p. All look and work great, there is no ghosting and like I said with a controller I can't notice the lag. It's only noticeable with a mouse because of how precise it is. I have a bunch of videos on youtube if you wanna take a look at the xhd3000 and see its features:Unreal: How does the XHD3000's scalar do when upscaling video, TV, etc. to 2560x1600? Are the pictures sharp? Any blurriness or other issues?
