4870 X2 - Screen Blacks Out

So I was playing a game on a 4870 X2 and both monitors connected to the card blacked out for a couple seconds, then came back and everything was fine. I alt tabbed out to check the temperature in CCC and it was under 80 degrees, which I think is well within tolerance/fine. There was another icon in the taskbar that was a yellow triangle with a ! in the middle (like a yield sign). Mousing over it there was no tooltip, and clicking it made it go away.

About 30 minutes later, the same thing happened - couple second blackout, resume, temps (presumably) fine, mystery icon.

What's causing this and what is the mystery icon? OS is Vista x64
 
Hey Im having a problem with mine as well. When the reboot completes after installing any driver it starts up and stays black before the login prompt in vista 64bit appears.
 
Not sure if it's related, but I had a very similar issue when I first enabled Crossfire with my 2nd 4850. The first reboot after I installed the 2nd card, after I clicked to enable Crossfire the screen went black. I got into my box via VNC and manually installed the newest driver for each card via device manager and on the next reboot the problem went away.
 
As an update, I've figured out the blackouts and the warning in the taskbar are Vista getting a 'the display driver is no longer functioning properly'

Should I just uninstall/reinstall Catalyst to fix this?
