4870 Replacement?

I have a 4870 and it works pretty well but just cant get the best framerates. Is there any card pref amd that is sub $150 that would be worth the upgrade right now?
 
Sub-$150?
No.

You might find a few hardcore sales (GTX 470 for ~$160?) over the holidays, but those are pretty rare.
 
Wait about 25 days and see what prices on new cards (new GTX5 variants and 69xx series cards) do to the prices of current generation cards. You might be surprised.

Those last minute "clearance" sales on old generation cards can really be crazy.
But, you need to be fast with the checkout finger.

For $200 the best you can do right now is a GTX 470 sale, which is getting more common.
 
I would wait. Better to make an informed decision once the new cards are out.

A good friend got a 4970 for 135$ shipped around the drop of the 5870's... I was very, very jealous.
